Forest, water and wildlife preservation

Updated: May 25, 2019

Audubon Society: Audubon Washington protects birds and the places they need, today and tomorrow. Actions go from counting birds, to help preserve their habitat or lobby local representatives. They have actions and activities for all ages.

Plant-For-The-Planet: Plant-for-the-Planet Washington is a youth led program that is part of an international alliance of children who are planting trees to help with carbon sequestration and slow climate damage.

Puget Sound Keeper: Puget Soundkeeper Alliance protects and preserves the waters of Puget Sound through monitoring and enforcement, policy and civic engagement, and education.

Sierra Club Washington State: The Sierra Club's members and supporters are more than 2 million of friends and neighbors. Inspired by nature, they work together to protect our communities and the planet. They’re America's oldest, largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization.

They're involved in environmental education, conservation, and political issues.  They lead fun outings such as hikes, trail maintenance, and snow-shoeing walks.

WAWild: Washington Wild defends, protects and restores wild lands and waters in Washington State through advocacy, education and civic engagement.
